Organized by the IUCN of Guinea Bissau, this initial meeting of the Project had two objectives, those of clarifying the organizing of the Project, and structuring the research activities of the module on the evaluation of the role of the protected coastal and marine areas as a medium of the conservation of resources and social-economic development.
For the clarification of organization, the series of modules, the role of the coordinators, the connections to other sub-regional projects, the drafting of reports, the setting up of a website, and budget aspects were discussed.
